With the support of our team of professionals, we provide consecutive, simultaneous or accompanying interpreting. We collaborate with certified court interpreters who are authorised to interpret for courts and public authorities. We handpick our interpreters depending on the type of event in question (e.g., wedding or judicial hearing); each of them has undergone meticulous professional preparation as well as training in specialist terminology.
We can supply interpreting aids and other items of conference equipment.
Court interpreting (aka judicial or legal interpreting) requires the presence of an interpreter officially appointed by the competent court. Interpreting must always be independent, impartial and faithful to everything said.
In the Czech Republic, Court Interpreting is governed by Decree No. 37/1967 Coll. on experts and interpreters.
In practice, the services of such an interpreter are most often used in judicial proceedings, when dealing with a notary, or getting married.
Telephone interpreting is a modern method used where the interpreter or one of the parties is not physically present at the discussion. This mode encompasses both pre-prepared interpreting and express, ad-hoc interpreting without prior interpreter briefing.
Telephone interpreting is used by companies when communicating with international partners, by government institutions (e.g. the police) or by those who need to make impromptu arrangements in a foreign language.
A relative novelty on the interpreting market is video remote interpreting (VRI), an alternative to telephone interpreting (that can cover sign-language). VRI does not require the interpreter to be physically present at the discussion, which significantly reduces the cost of interpreting services.
A reliable conference software facility suitable for interpreting is a must, however. Depending on the communication and software capabilities, interpreting can be done in consecutive mode, or simultaneously.
VRI is most commonly used by international companies, by specialized medical departments or government administrative bodies.
